every now and then i get addicted or re-addicted to a really great song. ideas and colors and specific people blend together in my mind. i want to capture all of the shapes and ideas and sounds and put it to paper or canvas, specifically for that person. so i'm finally getting started on making a series of paintings and sketches and collages completely inspired by some of my favorite songs. i plan on gifting them to friends through the year when i feel it is time to communicate some strange feeling with them.
first up is "the boy with the arab strap" by belle and sebastian. this one will be a painting. i'm going to use whiskey and coffee and gold paint as the base. color my life with the chaos of trouble!
