been feeling grizzly bear for a while, but i've just recently stumbled upon their videos. trippy and wonderful. enjoy.

the lovely bones

i just finished jane eyre and i'm ready to devour another great book. maybe it's the english in me, but i've got so much love for the bronte sisters and their lofty british love stories....but, i digress. 


anyway, i saw the lovely bones movie preview and it looked decent. i figured i'd try to read that next and then go see the movie. wrong. i cannot get farther than three chapters. this is a #1 bestseller? it's painfully elementary and it hurts to read. i feel my iq dropping page by page. if anyone has read it and thinks that the book gets better, please tell me. i cannot believe what pure shit it is.

epic thirft trip

after work i stole away a bit of time and ducked into goodwill before the snow hit. after the weeding through i walked away with the only two tom petty records i didn't own, madonna's like a virgin 45, an oversized / baby poop green / old man cardi, 
and these guys:

70's crown royal sweatshirt,  stone mountain pewter side bag, floral scarf,  patent leather oxford boots, and i know it's not summer, but i could not abandon these sandals. i don't know why people go the mall!

first two pages transcribed. this will have to come along when i get a bit better. i'm learning emily haines' "crowd surf off a cliff." beautiful song. last night i had a dream that my sister and i had a flat in dun laoghaire, ireland. my room was cozy, big bed, loads of quilts, lots of dogs running about and a tiny fireplace in the corner. wish it were real. now the rain is pounding, my wine glass is full and the end of jane eyre is summoning me to bed.
